Devlog 9 End of the Last Sprint!

General
The end is near. This was the last week of production. We do however have one more week of polish left. In this week, we are not allowed to add any new features. The purpose of this, as the name implies, is to make whatever’s already in the game better, shinier, more enjoyable to play.
Programming
Menu's
The start and end screen are finally done. You can start a round through the start screen, when the game starts you can press start on the controller to join. If you’re not up to date with the controls, you can go to the controls tab. Finally, a quit button, which allows you to shut down the game properly, no more alt-F4. The end screen now shows the standings of the players at the end of the round and allows you to go back to the start screen.
The hud also got a small update with some sprites to make it nicer to look at.
Aim Assist
If you’ve already played with a friend, you might’ve noticed that throwing an object toward them and hitting them was quite difficult. To solve this, we added some simple form of aim assist. It activates if an opponent is close enough and within a certain angle in front of you, in that case, the object won’t be thrown in the direction where you are looking, but toward that target.
Fracturing
All the objects now have their fractured meshes and will shatter on destruction!
There are some more small touches in regards to powerups like the new meshes and Bucket Head.
Art
As you already know from reading the programming part, today marks the last day of production which means ALL our assets have to be in the game and ready to be used! So in the last week we focused on making sure everything is in the game ranging from props to animations to RFX etc. Next week we'll put the focus on making everything look better and after that this journey has come to an end...
