Devlog 10 Final Week
General
This is it. As mentioned in last week’s devlog, this was going to be the last week of the project. That means that this will very likely be our last devlog and update to the game (however we might still make some small changes depending on feedback). We want to thank those who followed us along on this journey but also those who might only see this in the future, and we sincerely hope you enjoy our game.
Programming
Some notable improvements/fixes were made to the UI. In-game, the HUD now has a small prompt which tells players they can join. Last week a bug snuck into the end screen which always showed player 1 winning 4 times, but that has now been fixed, along with a small background to not make it all be just plain text.
Sound wise, we adjusted the volumes so that they aren’t too far apart from each other, as well as having some randomness in the pitch of the sound effects to introduce some variation. The menu music now also plays in the background during the round to get everyone in the smashing mood.
Art
Our office now looks better than ever! We added finishing touches, like extra assets, decorations and reworked the lighting. You can now also see particles when the player is using an item. We hope you have fun playing our game. Now get smashing!
